Inclusion in Action
A Proven Program
Since September 2018, the MAC’s educational department has been offering innovative activities on an ongoing basis. Indigenous people, persons with disabilities, immigrant people, and those in vulnerable situations have had the chance to discover a cultural venue for free and to engage with it in a unique and highly creative way.
Positioning itself as a centre of convergence focused on learning, discovery, innovation and inclusion, the MAC aims, through its Inclusion in Action program, to break down prejudices and stereotypes while enabling people to forge a special relationship with works of contemporary art, and to use the museum as an anchor and source of inspiration.
As part of Inclusion in Action, we offer a range of services and programs geared towards persons with disabilities.
The educational offering is divided into five parts:
- Tours interpreted in Québec Sign Language (LSQ)
- Tours interpreted in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Another Way of Seeing
- Another Way of Visiting
- Photovoice: Imagine the Museum in a Different Way
Activities are free and are in French, English, LSQ or ASL depending on the participants. Please note that booking must be made two weeks in advance.
