Aude Moreau’s long slow travelling of the New York City skyline renders this very familiar cityscape somehow otherworldly, transforming it, almost, into a maquette. From mid-town to Battery Park, the architectural and financial history of the city is revealed as the camera circles around the construction site of One World Trade Center. Reconstruction follows Moreau’s film Sortir, which documented her manipulation of the office lighting in the Montreal Stock Exchange Tower and announces projects she is preparing for Los Angeles and New York City.

This exhibition, as well as the presentation of Janet Biggs video works, is part of Montréal / Brooklyn, a multi-gallery exchange between the two cities that was initiated by Centre Clark.
