TOUR/WORKSHOP TANDEMS
From February 16th to April 15th, 2022
COLLAGE AND MOVING IMAGES
During this Tandem, participants will view a series of video artworks and an animated film from the MAC collection. These works feature different techniques such as juxtaposition, layering and succession of images reminiscent of the aesthetic of collage.
As part of the Workshop, students will work on an eclectic project where they will be encouraged to express themselves by combining various creative mediums. Driven by the desire to suggest movement, they will experiment with drawing, painting and collage.
From May 24th to June 17th, 2022
EXPAND INTO SPACE
This tandem will be an opportunity to observe some of the sculptures from the Museum’s collection dating from the 1960s that have taken up residence at Place Ville Marie. Participants will discover how the materials and forms of these works interact with their new environment.
Fully immersed, they will create three-dimensional compositions revealing contrasts that will energize the space: smooth and textured surfaces, solids and voids, geometric and organic shapes. Exploiting the characteristics of the elements at their disposal, the emphasis will be on balance!
Art Workshops
The goal of the MAC’s Art Workshops is to offer visitors of all ages an opportunity to enhance their aesthetic experience by trying out various techniques, media and materials related to a concept or theme found in a work or exhibition
