Heteropolis by Adaptive Actions
Heteropolis, Below the surface is a work produced by Jean-Maxime Dufresne and Jean-François Prost, members of the collective Adaptive Actions (AA), for BNLMTL 2014 L’avenir (looking forward), in collaboration with La Biennale de Montréal and the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal. With the participation of workers from the Hilton Bonaventure Hotel, Place des Arts, Le 1000 De La Gauchetière and the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, AA invited underground city workers to select personal photographs of special meaning to them which, once mounted, transform the perception of their often non-designed, strictly utilitarian work environment. A printed material, displayed and distributed at the MAC, documents the clash of these heterogeneous elements.
Art Workshop Masks Up!
Visitors of all ages are invited to join in this MAC art workshop, where Simon Starling’s captivating Project for a Masquarade will invite everyone to produce unusual masks, using relief and colour to add punch to their creations.
Treats and mulled wine ($)
Attention gourmets and gourmands: come warm up at the MAC while sipping a tasty mulled wine accompanied by home-baked treats fresh from the oven!
The Musée Boutique will be open from 6 to 9 p.m.
