Featuring art viewing and hands-on art making activities, this program will help you expand your horizons. Our summer program, which runs from June 25 to August 20, 2022, has been designed so that you can take part in one or two different activities. Passionate art mediators are waiting for you!

En famille at the MAC: FROM PLASTIC TO COSMIC
Fridays and Saturdays, July 22 to August 20, 2022
Come and discover the exhibition of Argentinian-born American artist Mika Rottenberg. Her surrealist video installations will make you smile, but also reflect on the world we live in. The artist’s explorations will encourage you to be bold, playful and critical in the studio. Through unexpected combinations of trinkets, images, sounds and manipulations, you will create some of the most colourful stagings. You will be invited to photograph and film the results, like absurd narratives, hovering between reality and fiction.
*With a Quebec Sign Language (QSL) interpreter on site: Saturday, August 13, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. This workshop will take place in French.
*With an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter on site: Saturday, August 13, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. This workshop will take place in English.
En famille at the MAC: EXPAND INTO SPACE
Fridays and Saturdays, June 25 to July 16 2022
Explore some of the sculptures from the Museum’s collection dating from the 1960s that have taken up residence at Place Ville Marie. You will learn how the materials and shapes of these works interact with their new environment. You will be fully immersed, creating three-dimensional compositions revealing contrasts that will energize the space: smooth and textured surfaces, solids and voids, geometric and organic shapes.
* With a Quebec Sign Language (QSL) interpreter on site: Saturday, July 9, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. This workshop will take place in French.
* With an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter on site: Saturday, July 9, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. This workshop will take place in English.
