The many films of Expo 67 brought radical innovations to cinema, inviting filmmakers and spectators to think anew with different screen configurations, storytelling techniques and, ultimately, ways of viewing moving images. This round table organized by CINEMAexpo67 brings together contemporary filmmakers with experts on Expo 67 and IMAX to discuss the influences of these original formats and films on contemporary moving-image making. The panellists will discuss film’s immersive, expanded and mobile futures in relation to architecture and urban screens, and augmented and virtual reality technologies.
